on a syndicated program on Houston, TX's KTBZ and Dallas, TX's Q102; and continues
to receive airplay on Hartford, CT's Radio 104, first in afternoon drive time
amongst 18-34 year olds. He was nominated for a 1997 Worcester Phoenix Best Music
Poll award and was chosen to participate in ASCAP's East Coast Song To Song workshop.
In
April of 1997, Lee performed to a crowd of 15,000 opening up for The Barenaked
Ladies in a special free concert in Hartford, CT's Bushnell Park, an event which
was broadcast live to 500,000 homes on Connecticut Public Television. In June
of 1997, he appeared before 20,000 people at Riverside Park in Agawam, MA on a
bill that also included The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Better Than Ezra, Local H,
Orbit, Moby and Blondie. In August he took the stage at The Meadows Music Theater
in Hartford, CT in front of 15,000 between Third Eye Blind and The Offspring and
in October was one of 14 songwriters chosen to participate in ASCAP's East Coast
Advanced Songwriter's Workshop. In December, he appeared at the Oakdale Music
Theater with Everclear and Veruca Salt.
In February of 1998, Lee performed in Los Angeles and in Southern Florida before
returning home and picking up a 1998 Worcester Phoenix 'Best Solo Act' nomination.
In April of 1998, he returned to Hartford, CT's Bushnell Park and appeared with
The Specials, Superdrag and Letters To Cleo in front of 10,000. In December, Lee
and the band showcased at the Phliladelphia Music Conference in Philadelphia,
PA.
The
release of his second CD, "Could Have Been King" in May of 1998 finds Lee performing
once again with a backing band and touring in support of this most recent latest
